When traveling from Juliaca to Mallkini, we have the chance to see some of the fauna found in this region of Peru. Besides alpacas and llamas,we are able to see a variety of birds like flamencos eating shrimp in the riverbanks of Pucara river, some local eagles, foxes, and if we get lucky some deer. Also there is a great variety of flora to be seen in this area, like the Andean grass known as "ichu", some quenuales woods in the foothills of the cordillera, flowers and a variety of cactus.
